How to practice with it
Start slow. At 30 beats per minute you get eight seconds a note, which is plenty of time to think. When a note is called, do not hunt for it randomly. Go string by string: find that note on the sixth string, then the fifth, then the fourth, and so on, saying the string name as you land on it. Four locations a note is the goal, one per click.
As the shapes stop being a search and start being a memory, drop the tempo up. Getting comfortable at 90 to 120 means you actually know the neck rather than working it out each time. The players who can call any note anywhere without hesitating all did some version of this drill until it stuck.
